An implant protects far more than the smile

An implant replaces the whole tooth, root and all, with a titanium post that fuses to the bone and a crown matched to its neighbors. Done well, it looks, feels, and works like a tooth you forgot you lost.

How we approach it

  • A gap is rarely only cosmetic: neighboring teeth drift, the bone beneath the space recedes, and the bite shifts in ways that create new problems years later.
  • An implant holds that space the way the original root did, which is why it protects the teeth on either side as much as it restores the one that is gone.
  • A digital scan and precise measurements tell Dr. Sorensen exactly where the post belongs before the day arrives, so nothing about the appointment is improvised.

What dental implants includes

  • A single-tooth solution that stands on its own
  • Bone-preserving titanium post
  • A crown matched to your natural teeth
  • The full plan mapped out before we begin

Unhurried dental implants at Everwell Dental

Why an implant, and why plan it fully

A gap is rarely just cosmetic. The neighboring teeth drift, the bone beneath the space slowly recedes, and the bite shifts in ways that create new problems years later. An implant holds the space the way the original root did, which is why it protects far more than the smile.

We plan every implant in full before treatment begins, using a digital scan and precise measurements so Dr. Sorensen knows exactly where the post belongs before the day arrives. That planning is most of why the result feels effortless: nothing is improvised, and you hear the whole timeline and cost up front.

The unhurried timeline

Placement itself is usually gentler than patients expect. The post is set, the bone is given the months it needs to fuse, and then the final crown is fitted and matched. We keep the same calm hands on your case from the first scan to the last polish, and we check the bite carefully before you leave.

You see the same faces at every appointment along that timeline, from the first scan to the final polish, so nothing ever has to be explained twice. If anything about the plan changes on the way, you hear it from us before it happens, with the cost attached.

How the visit goes

Four unhurried steps, and no surprises

Step 01

Scan and plan

A digital scan, precise measurements, and the whole timeline and cost written down before you agree to anything.

Step 02

Placing the post

Usually gentler than patients expect. The area is fully numb and the appointment is shorter than most people imagine.

Step 03

Healing time

The bone is given the months it needs to fuse to the post. You leave each check-in knowing where things stand.

Step 04

The final crown

Matched, fitted, and adjusted against your bite until it feels like nothing at all when you close.

Frequently asked questions

Placement is done with the area fully numb and most patients describe it as easier than the extraction that preceded it. Soreness afterward is usually managed with ordinary over-the-counter pain relief.
Most single-tooth cases run a few months from placement to final crown, because the bone needs unhurried time to fuse to the post. We map the calendar out for you at the planning visit.
Age is rarely the deciding factor. Bone volume, gum health, and general health matter far more, and all three are things we assess before recommending it.
It is a common finding after a tooth has been missing a while, and it is often solvable with a graft that rebuilds the site first. If an implant is not the right answer for you, we will tell you that plainly.
